You’ve seen how teaching English to adult refugees changes the trajectory of entire families. It changes the trajectories of our Encouragers as well!
We’ll miss Emily Giel as she makes a difference in Vietnam as an English teaching assistant — oh yes, in the prestigious Fulbright Program!
“Volunteering taught me how much I love connecting with people from all over the world through language learning,” said Emily. “Because of how much I enjoyed being an Encourager, I decided to apply for a Fulbright grant in Vietnam. I feel much more confident and excited because of my experience with Abounding Service.”
Thank you, Encouragers, for pouring into people — and letting yourselves be changed at the same time! If you haven’t tried Encouraging yet, simply email ddevelder@aboundingservice.org to come visit a class (you’ll love it)!
